Monti under the LED strip is starting to show recovery. Must have been a lack of light due to the failed T% over it and my laziness in getting a replacement light.

Working on some upgrades ... as the T5s require tube replacement, I've decided to install LED strips instead.

First one is constructed from this DIY kit : http://www.aquastyleonline.com/products/24-LEDs-Strip-DIY-Dimmable-Kit.html with 4x all blue strips and 60deg optics. Strips are glued to a 25mm black anodised aluminium square tube with all wiring run internally. In testing, it looked very nice ... almost electric blue look but can only run power at about 50% as these lights are quite powerful.

Reduced water temperature to 26C for the winter period.
