Still fighting bad red slime algae. Did 2 gal water change, removed BioPure sphere (concern over leaching Al), removed Phosguard & Purigen.
LIGHTING CHANGE- adjusting color temp to 14.5K and timing. new settings are:
UV-60 V-60 DB-60 B-60 G-25 R-25 W-25 (this is 60% max power) Sunrise: 9:00am Sunset: 5:00PM Ramp Time: 4 hours Lunar:on (1 3 1 1 000)
Hair algae and red slime algae are still growing quickly. Pulling as much out as I can again today and doing 2.5 gal water change.

Pulled out as much GHA as I could today. Brushed most of the red slime algae off and did 1.5 Gal water change.

Hair Algae beginning to bloom. There are several tufts of GHA starting on the rocks. Red slime algae is significantly improved over the last few weeks.

Red Dragonette was found dead this morning.

Noticed significant amount of red-slime alage on rocks. Some organic accumulation also forming a skin layer on surface of water near overflow. Scrubbing the algae off the rocks and doing a 20% water change.

Still have fairly high amount of brown diatoms. Brushed off as much as possible and siphoned 2 gallons of water. I had glued the Duncan polyp, Frogspawn, Sprung Stunner chalice, and Jack-O-Lantern Leptoseris in place last week. They all seem to be doing OK. Duncan is opening up more now that I tilted it off angle from direct light on face. Second bud on Duncan is growing.

Yoshi (High fin banded goby) has disappeared. No sign of him on floor around the tank.
