Today I lost a Molly. She was pregnant and it was entirely my own fault. I did not bother to check the PH on the tank she was transferring into before adding her. I checked the temperature and moved her right hover. The PH difference was over 2pts. From 7.15 to 8.8+. I Learned to use baking soda with very sparingly as it jacked my PH overnight.

I've lost fish previously but this was the first time I outright could have done something to prevent it other than not buy the fish. I've also got to mount my surge strip up higher. My son turned off the heater yesterday and the tank dropped to 71 degrees overnight from the normal 79.2.
